Xbox confirmed Hot Wheels Unleashed - Game of the Year Edition as part of the 11 titles headed to the Game Pass in the first half of this month. Specifically, the upgraded version of last year’s arcade racing sim, which comes with three Season Passes and more, was meant to arrive on December 15. Instead, it was recently announced that “Hot Wheels Unleashed - Game of the Year Edition is no longer coming on December 15, 2022 as previously announced.”

It makes no sense to push the game back to the second half of the month and make a fuss about it. Previous delays lasted for months. However, this is probably the first time Xbox announced a game was coming and take back its initial announcement a day later. Don’t worry, there are still 10 other games coming to the Game Pass by December 15. Microsoft has been relatively quiet these past few months, and for a good reason - the tech giant is busy proving why regulators should allow it to buy Activision Blizzard. The word is Microsoft is willing to propose concessions just to get approval. Unfortunately, it appears the deal will encounter an even bigger roadblock if the FTC steps in.
