Aggiornamenti Lumia confirmed in a since-deleted tweet that John Cena will be featured as the face of WWE 2K23. We previously reported that WWE 2K23 will be revealed at the Royal Rumble later this month ahead of its release in March and this latest revelation certainly lines up with that as well as an older report. WWE fans missed Cena’s presence last year as it wasn’t until the final SmackDown episode that he performed, much to the delight of audiences around the globe. If the cover art leak is true, then the next WWE 2K game is off to a good start. His appearance on the cover of WWE 2K23 is also perfect because he’s teasing a match against Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39. It’ll be interesting to see if WWE 2K23 will feature John Cena’s career in the WWE in the all-new Showcase mode. Last year, it was Rey Mysterio’s turn to have his best moments relived by his hundreds of thousands of fans all over the world. A commercial or trailer for WWE 2K23 is expected to feature Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, The Miz, and Bad Bunny. We’re still amazed at how quickly things have turned for the better for Visual Concepts and WWE 2K. Two years ago, WWE was reportedly displeased with the March release window for WWE 2K22. Now, WWE 2K23 will follow the same timing, all but guaranteeing that WWE won’t hand over the license to Electronic Arts anytime soon.
