The game received raved reviews following its release on the PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs. Soon after in early 2021, Activision confirmed that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 will arrive on next-gen consoles with technical improvements and graphical enhancements. During the same announcement, Activision also confirmed that Vicarious Visions was working on a Nintendo Switch version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. As promised, Activision did release Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 on the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X back in March. The game even came with an unexpected greedy $10 console generation upgrade charge courtesy of Activision. Fast forward to today and Nintendo has confirmed the release date of the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 on Switch will arrive on June 25.
Does Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 on Switch Have a Trailer?
Unfortunately, Activision’s announcement did not come with its usual fanfare. There was no accompanying trailer. So, we can only imagine just how the game will look on Nintendo’s portable gaming platform. However, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 seems to be the type of game that wouldn’t suffer as much with the “high-fidelity atmospherics” expectedly absent in its Nintendo Switch release. With that said, one thing that we can expect Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 on Switch to have is the two-player local co-op and online play. On that note, don’t expect crossplay to be added to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2. The original release on PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC didn’t have this feature, nor did the enhanced versions of the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.
