When is Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story going to drop?
After taking the world by storm during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and its lockdowns, the second season of Tiger King was a bit of a disappointment after airing last November 17. Nevertheless, there were still enough who paid attention to the follow-up season, which revolved around Exotic’s followers and their reaction to his imprisonment as well as the disappearance of Carole Baskin’s former husband, to warrant spin-offs. Unlike the original Tiger King documentary, the three-part docuseries will revolve around Antle and the many accusations against the former zookeeper. The trailer does a great job showing a glimpse of what kind of grounds the upcoming docu-series will cover, which will reportedly include how Antle mistreated his staff members and how he ran his whole operation like a cult. Most might question if it was really necessary for Netflix to invest in another season of Tiger King let alone a spin-off. However, one cannot deny just how successful the first season was. Maybe Netflix is hoping to capture lightning inside a bottle twice by shifting the spin-offs focus from Joe Exotic and Carole Baskins to the show’s similarly enigmatic and entertaining “side characters”. After a disappointing second season, it appears Netflix now wants to shed some light on the shady dealings that surrounded Tiger King. If the trailer is any indication, Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story is shaping up to be one hell of a show. Thankfully, audiences don’t have to wait too long to find out - Tiger King: The Doc Antle Story will premiere on December 10 on Netflix.
