One month and one week away from the game’s release, hype is mounting and fans are excited to jump into the grimy streets of Night City. We can expect some more screenshots to keep up our appetite in the coming weeks. North Oak is one of the suburbs of Westbrook, which already represents Night City’s hub for the higher class, but this is the home of the true one percenters. The newest, most luxurious, safest and most expensive area of Night City, this is where all the CEOs, bankers and richest stars have opulent mansions complete with all the comforts future technology has to offer, without all the nasty side-effects seen elsewhere. Crawling with private security, there is no gang activity and barely any crime in North Oak, save for the occasional professional assassination. Everyone in Night City dreams of living here.

The other two screenshots show off V, mid combat. We get a good look at the finalized appearance of the iconic Mantis Blades cyberware moments before our hero presumably uses them to dice up that unfortunate Maelstrom member who was silly enough to point a gun at them. The Mantis Blades have become a sort of symbol for the game ever since they appeared prominently in the very first reveal trailer.

Thanks to overzealous application of depth of field, not much is actually visible on the last first-person screenshot other than the blue-haired gentleman approaching V in a less than courteous manner, and the lovely lighting effects seen on the bullet casings which will be ejected from guns entirely too quickly during actual gameplay to get this good a look at. But hey, screenshots! Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on the 10th of December, 2020.
