According to readily available information online, the next episode of Better Call Saul will be titled “Breaking Bad.” This implies that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are finally returning as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, respectively. The title also mirrors when Bob Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman made his debut in the AMC Original series, Breaking Bad, which was titled “Saul Goodman.” Unfortunately, we won’t know until the “Breaking Bad” episode comes out on August 1. But, one thing is for sure - Walter and Jesse’s appearances are a matter of if and not when. We’ve known for a long time that AMC wanted to keep the involvement of both Breaking Bad leads a secret. According to Cranston, AMC went as far as to fly him and Paul in “under the darkness of night” and had them stay in a secret location. At the same time, it was AMC that broke the news with a single tweet in April. Heading into Better Call Saul’s 61st episode - the series will end on August 15 with its 63rd episode - Better Call Saul has teased an explosive finale. With so many events in Breaking Bad finally making sense following recent revelations, we are excited to see what else we’ll find out. The 60th episode already set a precedent as the first and only episode so far set in modern times. Keep in mind that Better Call Saul is still a prequel that tells the events that led to Jimmy McGill becoming Saul Goodman. Judging by its success, it’s become more likely that we’ll see a Giancarlo Esposito-led spin-off following his life in Chile. Also, speaking of Breaking Bad, Netflix is in danger of losing its streaming license of the hit AMC Original series.
