The extraction-style DMZ mode remains a mystery despite being revealed at Call of Duty: Next. However, the recent leak sheds some light on this unique game mode. The leak reinforces the Escape from Tarkov-style gameplay of the DMZ mode. Apparently, player objectives will include extracting “enemy grunt weapons” and a specific amount of “cash in one match,” among several others. Many believe that the DMZ mode will use the cash currency from Warzone 2.0 for players to buy gear and other items. There’s even a mission parameter where you’re instructed to extract “sufficient resources.” It outright tells players to “fill your backpack before you exfil to maximize your efficiency.” Other challenges include landing a certain amount of kills and headshots using a particular weapon class, and much more. If you’d like to know more about the potential challenges that will be available in the DMZ mode for Warzone 2, you can check out the leak below:
— CODSploitzImgz (@cod_sploitzimgz) September 29, 2022 Even if the list is accurate, things can still change between now and when Warzone 2 comes out. As we’ve already mentioned, Warzone 2.0 isn’t going to be available until November 16. We expect Infinity Ward to continue to make changes based on feedback from Modern Warfare 2 when it launches on October 28. In other Call of Duty news, fervent rival, Electronic Arts, sees the potential Xbox exclusivity of Call of Duty as an opportunity for the Battlefield franchise.
