The good news here is that it won’t - Halo Infinite’s campaign is surprisingly light on storage.

Halo Infinite will not take up much space on your Xbox

According to the Xbox Game Pass app (via Whatifgaming), Halo Infinite’s install size is 28GB. In total, Halo Infinite shouldn’t take more than 50GB of space on your Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X. This is modest when compared to the largest video games ever where it’s not unusual for gamers that look just as good as Halo Infinite (sometimes even worse) to consume double if not triple the storage space. In comparison, another recently-released Xbox exclusive, Forza Horizon 5, takes up more than 100GB of storage space. Halo Infinite’s file size is good news for fans who’ve spent the past year looking forward to playing Halo Infinite’s single-player campaign at launch. As we’ve already mentioned, Halo Infinite is set to launch on December 8 for the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X. The single-player campaign will not be free. Meanwhile, the free-to-play multiplayer component has been out since early November, but it’s currently being plagued by cheaters. To help celebrate Halo Infinite’s launch, 343 just dropped a new campaign trailer for the game that sees the iconic Master Chief return to take on another universe-ending threat. In other Halo news, Xbox Game Pass owners don’t have to worry about buying Halo Infinite anymore. As confirmed at E3 2021, Halo Infinite will launch on Xbox Game Pass. Aliens: Fireteam Elite will also join Xbox Game Pass for December 2021, helping round out another excellent set of offerings for the month for Microsoft’s popular video game subscription service.
