As per our earlier report, the PS Plus lineup for June 2022 is as follows:
God of War (2018) Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
PS Plus subscribers can start downloading all three games on June 7. Until then, those with active PS Plus subscriptions still have time to claim May’s PS Plus free games lineup. Mixed reactions are a common theme for Sony these days. Just like with the initial announcement of the new PS Plus, fans aren’t sold on the free games for the month. 2018’s God of War is the best-selling game on the PS4, but this is also a problem. Most if not all who have a PS4 or PS5 already have God of War. Not to mention, the game is part of the PS Plus Collection. While it’s understandable to give it away for free in the lead-up to God of War: Ragnarok’s launch later this year, the criticism does have its merits. But, don’t worry. If you already have God of War, Sony has two other games. To start with, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is a different take on the hit anime franchise. Unlike the more popular NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 4, the 2018 title features large-scale 4v4 battles, an expansive cast of characters from the anime, and the option to create custom fighters. Meanwhile, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a Smash Bros.-like brawler that swaps iconic Nintendo characters with the likes of Rugrats’ Reptar, as well as the eponymous title characters of shows such as Catdog, Garfield, and SpongeBob SquarePants, among several others. If nothing else, both brawlers could help tide you over while waiting for MultiVersus, which comes out later this year. Speaking of Sony, we’re only a day away from its next State of Play showcase. Make sure to keep an eye out on Sony’s official social media channels within the next day or two.
