The rivalry between Morgan and Rousey has been brewing for quite some time. It all started when Morgan cashed in her Money in the Bank award on the same night Rousey defended her belt against Natalya. Most assumed that Rousey would regain the title at SummerSlam 2022 but Morgan squeaked by with a controversial win. The so-called Baddest Woman on the Planet couldn’t help but express her frustration afterward, taking her anger on Morgan and the official. This put a temporary stop to the feud as the WWE suspended Rousey for her actions. As soon as the WWE reinstated Rousey, Rowdy quickly worked her way back to contention. She demolished her opponents in an elimination Fatal 5-Way match to get a chance to fight Morgan again at Extreme Rules. Having said that, Morgan can hang her hat knowing that she put up a decent fight against the best. Morgan is the only woman in WWE history to beat Rousey twice in a row. The question now is, what’s next for Rousey? As a near-full-time WWE wrestler, Rousey’s most recent run is arguably her best yet. She’s not the one-woman wrecking crew she was before the COVID-19 pandemic hit but she’s as dominant as ever. Perhaps Triple H has big plans for Rousey going forward. If nothing else, the new WWE Head of Creative should be well aware of what it feels like to work with Rousey after working together years ago. In other news, Rousey joined WWE 2K22 in June as a DLC character.
