After it was rated by the South Korean ratings authority, an update to the Rockstar Games Launcher also revealed assets related to the remasters - now, we’re pretty sure that the game will drop this November as planned. When the Grand Theft Auto 5: Expanded and Enhanced ports for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S were delayed to March 2022, many fans assumed that the previously leaked remaster trilogy would get pushed back alongside it. Expanded and Enhanced was slated for a late November 2021 release, and leaks coming from reputable sources pegged late October and early November as the likely release window for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. While it does seem to have gotten pushed back just a little bit, we won’t need to wait until next year. As far as reports go, the remastered games will launch on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and possibly on the Nintendo Switch late November this year. Between the launcher update and the ratings, Rockstar is bound to acknowledge the game officially soon. Being known for their penchant of leaving information about upcoming titles until the last possible moment, it definitely tracks that we still don’t have an official announcement for the game even though it’s October. That said, we fully expect Rockstar to finally drop the news in the coming days or weeks, since time is steadily running out. At the end of the day, this is still ultimately a minor net delay compared to the early October-late November window we expected initially. However, after fears of the remastered trilogy being bumped to next year, it is a relief to hear that it’ll drop next month - provided these reports pan out. We’re pretty confident they will. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is expected to launch this November on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
