GameFreak released a new patch for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While the jury is still out on the performance issues, the new update brings with it the Ranked Battle: Series 1 where trainers can participate in ranked matches during the course of a season. At the end of each season, rewards will be given to players depending on the rank that they have achieved. The Pokémon Company has already released the rules and guidelines for the first season of competitive play in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. However, the company is yet to release what rewards are up for grabs at the end of the season. CentroLeaks, a Twitter account that was recently banned for leaking information about the newest Pokémon game, has made a return to reveal what players should expect at the end of Ranked Battle: Series 1. The account published a comprehensive rewards tier list which includes League points and other valuable items.

The reward is a massive 100,000 League Points and a haul of valuable items such as a Gold Bottle Cap, a Bottle Cap, an Ability Capsule, and the Tera Blast TM. League Points is an alternative currency in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They can be used to purchase useful items to help players in their adventures and battles. League Points can be earned by trading in crafting materials or participating in battles against Terastallized Pokémon or Team Star’s bosses. A trainer may assemble a team of four Pokémon for the Ranked Battle but this excludes Legendary and Paradox Pokémon. There is also a list of eligible Pokémon within the game. Players can customize the lineup and skills of their Pokémon for the Ranked Battle. The use of Tera Pokémon is allowed during competitive play. Terastallization is a new gimmick within Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that allows trainers to change the type of a Pokémon. Changing the Tera type of a Pokémon will alter its strengths and weaknesses and can be used as a defensive strategy in competitive play. According to the published regulations for Series 1, the event will start on December 1 and end on January 31.
