The success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 means that the studio can now focus on expanding the franchise more. Warzone 2.0 includes a new DMZ game mode that features AI enemies alongside human opponents in what players have dubbed Call of Duty’s version of The Divisions’ Dark Zone. The Call of Duty series is also expanding more into the mobile arena. We already have a Call of Duty Mobile game, but Activision plans on connecting a new mobile version to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2....

After confirming a slew of The Witcher and Cyberpunk-related projects, CDPR has saved the best for the last - it’s remaking the original The Witcher in Unreal Engine 5. CDPR first announced The Witcher Remake under the codename, Canis Majoris. But, this is the first time CDPR has pulled back the curtains on The Witcher Remake. To avoid spreading its resources thin across multiple high-profile projects, CDPR is working with the Polish studio, Fool’s Theory, for the remake....

Konami has worked with the Celtic and the Rangers since 2018. Both clubs’ players as well as their stadiums were part of the much-maligned eFootball. On top of this, both clubs had a partnership set up with the upcoming free-to-play football game, UFL. However, a closer inspection at the game’s Partner Clubs section on its website reveals that this is no longer the case. By securing the Celtic and the Rangers, EA gives itself a chance to use the likeness of each player’s face for both clubs....

CNET confirmed that MoviePass will return this summer via a new app that will feature tiered plans operating off web3 technology with a payment system involving the use of digital credits. According to the same report, the new plan allows theaters partnered with MoviePass to set different peak and off-peak prices as well as check out the most-watched movies at the moment. There’s no information available about how the cost of Movie Pass, but the service will reportedly offer premium-level users partial ownership of the company....

Twitter user and YouTuber Canadianguyeh found a listing from a UK game retailer selling Crash Team Rumble for 64 pounds on a presale discount. According to an episode of GrubbsNax, industry insider Jeff Grubb claims that the latest installment in BioWare’s epic fantasy series is on track for a late 2023 release. To be specific, Grubb describes the game’s development to be in “very good shape” and that it is at least 18 months away from launch....

Techland wants you to expect Dying Light 2 in February In a statement shared by Techland to Game Informer, the game’s lead designer, Tymon Smektala, went ahead and confirmed that the base gameplay “is solid and ready to play.” However, Smektala did warn fans that there’s still more work to be done, including “upgrades and tweaks to add, and community feedback to implement.” Of course, this isn’t a cause for concern....

Is Bandai bringing back Klonoa for modern consoles? Klonoa is not the most popular video game franchise. The series made its Japan-exclusive debut in 1997 before heading to the west in 1998 with Klonoa: Door to Phantomile for the original PlayStation. Since then, Bandai has released multiple sequels and spin-offs to the 2.5D platformer such as 2001’s Klonoa 2: Lunatea’s Veil and a Japanese-exclusive action RPG in 2002. Unfortunately, since then, Bandai hasn’t released a new installment outside of remasters....

According to BlizzTrack, Overwatch’s version build number went from 1.68 to 2.0 on Thursday, February 3. Specifically, the current Overwatch 2 build is listed as 2.00.7.0.93221, which is a significant change since Blizzard has launched every major Overwatch patch on a 1.0. Unfortunately, this is the extent of the information available about the new developer build for Overwatch. Because the build is encrypted, data miners haven’t been able to crack the launcher to see potential content....
