In the wake of Activision’s swift response to what was a rather major flaw in the newly launched Modern Warfare 2, fans are now wondering when the key gameplay system will be reinstated in a fixed state. Ever since pinging mechanics were popularized in team-based shooters by the Battle Royale genre, they’ve become a staple, and its absence is impacting the experience for many. The reason why Infinity Ward had to step in and gut the feature entirely was due to a bug that allowed players to co-opt is as essentially a “wallhack”....

Variety reports that Netflix has canceled the single-camera workplace comedy after just 10 episodes. Netflix’s newest plan is much cheaper than Netflix’s existing plan, but it comes with a huge caveat - you can only access a fraction of the platform’s TV shows and movies due to licensing restrictions. The Basic with Ads plan is available for $6.99 per month. It features an average of four to five minutes of ads per hour, with each ad being up to 30 seconds long. Greg Peters, Netflix’s Chief Product Officer as well as Chief Operating Officer, announced in a recent sit-down with reporters that work was ongoing on regaining access to some of the restricted movies on the new subscription plan....

Nintendo is now the new owners of the CG animation and motion capture studio, Dynamo Pictures. Nintendo will rename the company, which previously did motion capture work for Persona 5, Death Stranding, and NieR Replicant, into Nintendo Pictures. Does this mean that Nintendo is finally ready to jump back into Hollywood after all these years? We can’t say for sure. But, it is curious that the acquisition comes as Nintendo is working on the company’s first big-screen adaptation in a long time in next year’s Super Mario Bros....

According to one of Digital Foundry’s latest YouTube videos, John Lineman revealed that a mid-gen refresh for the Switch “was” in the works, saying: Mid-cycle refreshes and ugprades have always been Nintendo’s thing. However, after Sony and Microsoft came out with the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X, respectively, most hoped for Nintendo to join the trend and release a Switch Pro or its equivalent. The rumor goes that Valkyrie Entertainment is hiring a Senior Environment Artist and the studio is using its credential as one of those working on “the next iteration of God of War.” This sounds pretty believable, and it’s true. The problem is that the listing isn’t new. Valkyrie Entertainment created the listing on September 13, 2021, which is over a year ago. So, the “next iteration of God of War” at the time would be God of War: Ragnarok....

Unlike previous reports, this one today comes from a legitimate source - Nvidia. After Nvidia got hit by a major cyberattack, classified information found its way online, including what appears to be the source code for the Nvidia DLSS. As pointed out by Twitter user NWPlayer123 and Nintendo Wire, the leak shows the Nintendo Switch graphics API, NVN, while also referring to the graphics API of the potential successor, NVN2....

Being a trailer rather than a demo, there is a lot more editing present here and less raw gameplay - the HUD is cut in most places and we get to see the scripted side of things - but we still see plenty of new and exciting content.
