As part of a Wired interview, Owen Wilson confirmed that he’s coming back for a second season of Loki as Mobius and that it’s going to start filming “pretty soon”. Of course, that was pretty much what Wilson could have probably talked about, which explains the slight pause between his answer and the question he was responding to. In any case, the second season of Loki was always on the cards as it was confirmed at the end of season 1. What isn’t, is who’s going to show up. However, this hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about what season 2 of Loki would explore. In particular, with the season finale revealing Jonathan Majors’ He Who Remains, better known as Kang the Conqueror, the follow-up season might see a face-off between the Asgardian prince and Kang. Unfortunately, “soon” could mean a lot of things. Production could start next week, next month, or two months from, or maybe slightly later. Either way, we’ll never know for sure until someone reveals it. But, we don’t think that Marvel fans will mind the long wait. Although it’s a shame how long audiences will have to endure for the next season of Loki to launch, the MCU has done a great job of tiding fans over until then. For one, Moon Knight is scheduled to premiere on March 30, as revealed in an earlier trailer. There’s also Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on May 6, which many believe will feature the appearance of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki from the TV show after the easter-egg filled trailer at Super Bowl LVI. Finally, there’s a swath of other MCU movies and shows scheduled to start hitting theaters and/or Disney+ between June and whenever Loki releases.
