Silent Hill is one such beloved franchise and has been a fan favorite game since its introduction in 1999. The survival horror game hasn’t had a proper entry since 2012’s Silent Hill: Downpour. There have been rumors that Konami has big plans for the Silent Hill franchise with multiple games being developed. Reports say that a remake of Silent Hill 2 is already being worked on and there will be a new episodic entry to the franchise. VGC editor Andy Robinson tweeted that his report on Konami’s planned Silent Hill announcement may not be accurate. He said that the “Silent Hill reveal may be sooner the I suggested.”

Will Konami announce Silent Hill at the Tokyo Game Show?
Konami will take the stage at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Yuji Kaji, the voice actor for Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia’s Shoto Todoroki, will represent fans at the event. Kaji has also lent his voice acting to many video games including Final Fantasy XIII and Smash Brothers Ultimate. Yuji Kaji’s appearance at the presentation will only be as a fan of the new game and not in any way related to the voice acting he has done for various video games and anime series. Some of the biggest games from Konami are the Silent Hill, Castlevania, and Metal Gear Solid game franchises. We hope that one of these would be the game being referred to in the presentation.
Should Konami even bother with Silent Hill?
As for the popular horror game, we know that there has been work done for Silent Hill 2. Multiple sources have revealed that Bloober Team, a known developer of horror games, is working on the project. But, Bloober has denied such claims in the past, so take that as you will. In any case, Konami is believed to be working on new entries to its most popular franchises, which include Silent Hill and Metal Gear. Fingers crossed, we’ll hear more about these projects on September 16.
