Marvel Studios has done an excellent job hyping Moon Knight over the past few months. After releasing the first trailer for the show and confirming its release date on March 30, Marvel doubled down by dropping some serious cash to secure Moon Knight a slate at Super Bowl LVI. Now, Marvel’s latest marketing effort sees the studio drop an inviting poster with Mr. Knight clad in an all-white garb that looks like it was taken straight out of the comic books.
— Moon Knight (@moonknight) March 1, 2022 In Marvel’s comic books, Mr. Knight is just one of several personalities of Marc Spector, which also includes Steven Grant and Jake Lockley. Unlike Moon Knight, Mr. Knight prefers a more Batman-like approach to getting things done, taking care of the nitty and gritty while wearing a more “formal-looking” ensemble. MCU’s Moon Knight probably won’t deviate too much from the source material. From what we know so far, Oscar Isaac will play the role of Marc Spector, who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. However, the show appears to open with Isaac living as Steven Grant as evidenced by his confused looked when someone else refers to him as “Marc.” After Mr. Knight’s reveal, a future poster might see Jake Lockley make an appearance, who is a cab driver that had a penchant for gathering information from civilians. In addition to Isaac, Moon Knight will see Ethan Hawke lend his Oscar-nominee talents as Arthur Harrow. Other cast members include F. Murray Abraham as Khonshu’s voice, May Calamawy’s Layla, as well as Midnight Man. Unfortunately, Gaspard Ulliel, which portrayed Midnight Man, would die in a tragic skinning accident months before Moon Knight premiered. Fans will find out more if Marvel Studios’ first solo outing by an original character in a while will pan out on March 30.
