The bundle was announced during a recent Twitch stream on the Diablo channel, in which the game directing team at Blizzard responsible for Diablo 4 gave us some insight into the progress. Players can now pre-order The Diablo 4 Limited Collector’s Box for $96.66 at Blizzard’s Gear Store. Seeing as the box is not listed on Battle.net but on their merch site puts things into perspective. While this does make it abundantly clear that the game is not included, both in the product description and the separation from the video game store, fans who want to have a physical copy will need to wait a bit longer. Despite this, the gorgeous box coming in a limited supply of 50,000 copies produced, is still very much worth getting. The expensive bundle includes some killer mood lighting in the form of a two-sided electric Candle of Creation. It will be graced by the visages of both the demon Lilith and the angel Inarius, which are instrumental in the story of Diablo 4.  Other items included in the pricey demonic bundle are:

A detailed cloth map of Sanctuary A Diablo 4-themed Occult Mousepad A pin of the ancient Horadrim brotherhood

To top it off, in true Blizzard collectibles fashion, fans will receive an art book with over 300 pages of designs used to shape the feeling that Diablo 4 should bring. Additional 18.54” x 10.79” Matte Fine Art Prints will be included in the bundle, with one depicting Inarius and Lilith while the other displays the armies of Hell. As you can see, this Diablo IV collector’s edition bundle doesn’t come with in-game items, which are included if you preorder a digital copy of Diablo 4 on PC or consoles. Instead, you can opt to purchase the Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate editions of Diablo 4 for $70, $90, and $100 on these digital platforms. Another reason this bundle doesn’t have a physical copy of the game is the release date. Blizzard’s huge announcement at the 2022 Game Awards revealed that Diablo 4 is coming out on June 6. This came after weeks of reports that mismanagement at Blizzard is forcing the development team to deliver the game on time. Despite this, the preorder page for this collector’s edition says that the product won’t start shipping before the end of June, making it accessible to fans who preordered it a month after the game’s digital release. Fans who want to purchase a physical copy of the game as a gift or memorabilia, this bundle will neither satisfy your needs nor will you receive it upon release. But in a looming world of purely digital releases, this kind of collector’s edition memorabilia might just become the norm.
