While Netflix has already confirmed when Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher will drop, this hasn’t stopped fans from asking for more teasers, which Netflix has been happy to oblige.

Geralt of Rivia looks ready for war in latest Season 2 teaser

Season 1 of The Witcher ends with Geralt reuniting with Ciri, who is played by Freya Allen. Ciri is effectively Geralt’s adoptive daughter and the two just discovered that they are linked together by destiny. Season 2 will see Geralt take Ciri to his childhood home, Kaer Morhen, where he hopes to train Ciri to learn how to utilize her power all the while protecting her from outside forces. After seeing a ruthless and coldhearted side of Geralt in Season 1, the glimpses of Season 2 that we’ve seen so far suggest that we’re about to see a more fatherly and protective side of everybody’s favorite witcher. Make no mistake, Geralt is as deadly as ever. A new image released ahead of Season 2’s premiere shows Geralt looking for momentary peace as he appears to be preparing for a huge battle, as evidenced by his blackened eyes. This means that he’s augmented his abilities with a potion and whoever he is fighting is in big trouble. One of the biggest draws of Netflix’s The Witcher is Cavill’s impressive physique and how it allows him to realistically portray Geralt of Rivia. His commitment to the role and the series’ fight choreography is what sets it apart. Fans can only expect the series to try and one-up itself going forward. But, of course, Netflix’s The Witcher is more than just Cavill alone, as the storytelling and interesting characters help round out the fan-favorite series. With Season 1 finding the right mixture of swordplay, action, as well as world-building and a character that loves to grunt, we can only hope that Season 2 lives up to expectations if not exceeds them. In other Witcher news, CDPR just announced that the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 isn’t coming this 2021. The Witcher 3 was also spotted running well on the Steam Deck. Finally, there are several Witcher-related projects in the pipeline, including a prequel, a child-friendly spin-off, an animated feature, and of course, a third season.
