Just in case you missed it or you just want to refresh your memory, we’ve got you covered. Below is everything that was announced and revealed at Nacon Connect 2021.
RoboCop: Rogue City announcement
The original RoboCop Trilogy concluded back in 1993. Although a reboot/remake was released back in 2014, the plans for a sequel, that would have disregarded previous materials, are yet to be publicized, despite being confirmed back in 2018. SO until then, we’ll just have to settle for the next best thing - RoboCop: Rogue City. RoboCop: Rogue City is Teyon’s next project after working on the criminally underrated video game, Terminator: Resistance. The Krakow-based studio will take its previous experience of working on games about machines to another FPS title with a machine as a protagonist. The only difference is that the machine is a good guy this time around. RoboCop: Rogue City will reportedly be set in the same universe as the original RoboCop Trilogy and will see players take on the role of cop-turned cyborg, Alex Murphy. RoboCop: Rogue City is set to release sometime in 2023.
Clash: Artifacts of Chaos announcement
Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a new game from ACE Team, the people behind the original Zeno Clash games. Artifacts of Chaos will be set in the same world as Zeno Clash, Zenozoik. However, it won’t be an FPS title. Instead, it will be a third-person adventure game that sees players guide a warrior named Pseudo to protect a mysterious creature that can heal others. Despite the shift in perspective, Artifacts of Chaos looks every bit as bizarre and vibrant as the original Zeno Clash games. Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is set to release in June 2022.
New gameplay and environments for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum
In a video interview that was aired at Nacon Connect 2021, the producer of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, Harag Riegler, took center stage to show off new gameplay footage about the upcoming The Lord of the Tings title. Rigler also took this time to show off more artwork about the places that Gollum will explore in the game. The said trailer was everyone’s first chance to see some never-before-seen characters that will finally make an appearance in Gollum, as well as a much-younger Gandalf. The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is still expected to release sometime in 2022.
A trailer for Ad Infinitum
Ad Infinitum has been stuck in the proverbial development hell after it was first announced back in 2017. It wasn’t until Nacon Connect 2021 that we finally got new details about Hekate’s debut title. The German studio took the proverbial stage to show off its upcoming survival horror game with stealth and puzzle gameplay that will be set during World War 1. Ad Infinitum is expected to release sometime in 2023.
Combat reveal for Steelrising
After GreedFall, French video game developer, Spiders, is hard at work on its next project, Steelrising. Steelrising is expected to release in June 2022.
