Imperioli to lead a brand new cast in White Lotus Season 2
Because of the success of the first season, HBO confirmed that Mike White’s White Lotus has become an ongoing anthology. This means that, on top of a follow-up season, fans can expect HBO to renew White Lotus for a third, fourth, and perhaps, even fifth, if not more, depending on how each succeeding season of the series does. The first season saw a mixed group of travelers arrive at the titular Hawaiian resort, only to discover more about each other and the hotel’s staff, with some meeting a sinister end. We don’t know much about Season Two just yet. However, it’s confirmed that Imperioli will join the cast as Dominic Di Grasso. Deadline confirms that Imperioli’s character will go to the resort along with his college-graduate son and elderly father for a vacation. As HBO previously confirmed, the next season of White Lotus will bring in a new group of travelers, staff, and a new venue. However, certain characters could return. White confirmed that they’ll still have to figure out which ones can come back after signing one-year deals to do the first season. The first season’s cast included the likes of Jennifer Coolidge, Steve Zahn, and Connie Britton, among others. Imperioli won an Emmy award for his role as Christopher Moltisanti in Sopranos. The 55-year-old actor recently reprised his role in HBO Max’s prequel movie, The Many Saints of Newark, by David Chase. In addition to The White Lotus, Imperioli is working with Alec Berg to co-write and star in a potential new series loosely based on Imperioli’s personal experience as a Buddhist.
