Although we already saw the first official trailer for Ant-Man 3, fans would love to see more of the upcoming MCU film. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait for long to get what we want. Marvel shared that the newest trailer will air during the upcoming National College Football Championship game on January 9, 2023, at 7:30 PM EST on ESPN. The National College Football Championship game will be between first-place University of Georgia Bulldogs going up against third-seed Texas Christian University Horned Frogs. The Bulldogs are the defending national champions having won in the 2021 edition. The TCU Horned Frogs return to the championship game for the first time since 2010. Being aired at a nationally televised football game, the trailer must be something else. But, we still don’t know at what point during the match the new trailer will premiere. The best bet would be during half-time when there is a long break. Marvel has partnered with ESPN in the past releasing the first Black Widow trailer on the channel. The trailer for Scarlet Johansson’s first solo outing premiered four months before the release date of the movie.
What will fans be getting with the new trailer?
We’re expecting to learn more about Ant-Man 3 from the second trailer. Fans speculate the new trailer is a version of the trailer shown during D23 where Kang asks Scott “You’re an Avenger? Have I killed you before?” At the end of the D23 trailer, Kang delivers a monologue about his take on the universe as a time traveler from the future. “When you can see time the way I do, you can see everything,” Kang said. “Everything you’re holding onto, everything you call life - I know how it ends.” There are fan theories that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be the first step in Kang’s plans to conquer the multiverse. Ant-Man 3 will be Kang’s debut in a feature film. Marvel has teased that Kang is an even bigger threat to the universe than Thanos as he can mess with the entire multiverse. We hope that the new trailer gives us more details about Bill Murray’s Krylar and other new characters from the Quantum Realm. Marvel may have some surprise reveals during the premiere of the new trailer. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is coming to theaters on February 17.
