The elder Paul recently fueled speculations by replying to a report that John Cena is set to wrestle in April at WrestleMania 39. Now, it appears that he’s trying to set the wheels in motion for a match against Cena, as he recovers from injuries sustained during his loss against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. Here’s what Paul said on his ImPaulsive podcast: Paul then went on to explain how his relationship with the WWE works, saying that his next pitch will probably go like, “Hey, this work for me. Put me up against the best y’all have, I’m gonna f****** deliver. You know that for a fact. Not only to put on an amazing match, but I’m going to put asses in seats and eyeballs glued to the television.” I favourited it, responded with “the eyes [emoji]”. I mean, truthfully, I think me vs. John Cena would break the internet. I texted Triple H right away, “Do you want to break the internet again?” That’s dream matchup, dude: at WrestleMania, in LA, on my birthday. Triple H, throw me a bone, give me a birthday present, let me take out John Cena. And that’s be crazy. Paul doesn’t decide what happens in the WWE but his reach, pull, and talent, give him a bit of leeway in making things happen. Triple H knows how valuable Paul is for business and Paul isn’t lying when he said that a matchup between himself and Cena would “break the internet”. But, of course, it all still depends on whether Cena would agree to it as well. It’s also worth noting that there’s the potential matchup between the Usos and the Pauls after Jake Paul called out the members of The Bloodline. Theoretically, it would make more sense for Triple H to book the entire lineup of The Bloodline in individual matches at WrestleMania 39. If this happens, we might see the Pauls take on the Usos while Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson squares up against Roman Reigns. Solo Sikoa vs John Cena doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as Logan Paul vs John Cena, but the internet would go wild if John Cena and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin returned to put on a show at the SoFi Stadium in California. At the end of the day, we’re just throwing ideas at the wall and hoping that one sticks. It’s up to Triple H and the executives over at WWE to decide what will happen. Fingers crossed, the WWE will use the next few months to properly build up the storylines for WrestleMania 39.
