Itto’s Talents

Fight Club Legend

Fight Club Legend is the normal, charged, and plunging attack of Itto. His normal attack allows him to perform 4 consecutive strikes. However, if your second and fourth attack successfully hit enemies, Itto will gain up to 2 stacks of Superlative Strength.  You can also continue his normal attack combo even after sprinting or using your elemental skill. Using Itto’s charged attack allows him to unleash Arataki Kesarigi slashes at the enemy. His charged attack will consume the Superlative Strength stacks instead of his stamina. However, if you do not have any stack, Itto will just perform one Saichimonji Slash against the enemy.

Masatsu Zetsugi: Akaushi Burst!

Masatsu Zetsugi: Akaushi Burst! is the elemental skill of Arataki Itto. Activating this will summon Ushi, dealing Geo damage to any enemy that it hits.  Itto will gain 1 stack of Superlative Superstrength when the Ushi hits enemies. Once summoned, Ushi will stay on the field and taunt surrounding enemies. It will also gain HP depending on Itto’s maximum HP. Whenever the enemy damages Ushi, Itto will gain 1 stack of Superlative Strength. When the Ushi’s HP falls to zero, it will leave but give Itto another stack of Superlative Strength. You can also hold the elemental skill to adjust the angle of where Ushi will land.

Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil!

Royal Descent: Behold, Itto the Evil! is Itto’s elemental burst.  When activated, Itto will enter the Raging Oni King mode. When in this state, Itto’s normal, charged, and plunging attacks will deal Geo damage instead of Physical damage. It will also increase his normal attack speed, depending on his defense. If you hit enemies using your first and third attacks, you will get a stack of Superlative Strength. However, this state will decrease Itto’s elemental and physical resistance by 20%.

Arataki Ichiban

Arataki Ichiban is the passive of Itto that you can unlock on Ascension Phase 1. When Itto unleashes Arataki Kesagiri, the slashes of Arataki Kesagiri will increase the speed of the next slash by 10%. You can gain a maximum total of 30% attack speed. This passive also increases Itto’s resistance to interruption against enemies.

Bloodline of the Crimson Oni

You can unlock the Bloodline of the Crimson Oni passive on Ascension Phase 4. The damage of Arataki Kesagiri will increase by 35% depending on the defense of Arataki Itto.

Woodchuck Chucked

The Woodchuck Chucked is the utility passive of Arataki Itto. When you attack a tree to gain wood, you will have a 25% chance to get additional wood resources.

Best Build for Itto

Arataki Itto is a 5-star character who acts as a Main DPS for the team. Because of this, you should focus on increasing your CRIT rate or damage when it comes to weapons.  He also relies on his normal and charged attacks so weapons that buff his attacks will suit him well.

Main DPS Weapons

Redhorn Stonethresher

The Redhorn Stonethresher is one of the best weapons for Arataki Itto. This 5-star claymore weapon was released alongside his banner and it has a CRIT damage substat. Once equipped, it will give you the Gokadaiou Otogibanashi effect. This effect increases your defense by 28%. It will also increase your normal and charged attack damage by 40% depending on your defense.

Serpent Spine

The Serpent Spine is another claymore weapon that works well with Arataki Itto. This 4-star claymore has a CRIT Rate substat and gives you the effect called Wavesplitter. When a character is on the field, they will deal 6% more damage every 4 seconds.  However, they will also take more damage by 3%. You can stack this effect for 5 times. Your stack will be reduced by 1 if you take any damage from enemies.

Whiteblind

The Whiteblind is a good free-to-play claymore option for Itto. You can get this 4-star claymore by forging and it has a defense substat. Equipping this weapon will give you the Infusion Blade effect. When your normal and charged attack hits enemies, you will gain an additional 6% attack and defense for 6 seconds. You can get a total of 4 stacks and you can only get one stack every 0.5 seconds.

Itto’s Artifact set

4 pcs. Husk of Opulent Dreams

The best artifact set for Arataki Itto is 4 pieces of Husk of Opulent Dreams. Because Itto relies on his defense, normal and charged attacks, this artifact set suits him the most. 2 pieces of this artifact set will increase your defense by 30%. When you hit an enemy with Geo damage, you will gain 1 stack of Curiosity, once every 0.3 seconds. When the character is off the field, you will gain 1 stack every 3 seconds. Each stack of Curiosity will increase your defense and Geo damage bonus by 6%.  You can only have a total of 4 Curiosity stacks. However, if you did not gain any curiosity stack within 6 seconds, you will lose 1 stack.

4 pcs. Gladiator’s Finale

If you do not have the Husk of Opulent Dream artifact set yet, you can choose 4 pieces of Gladiator’s Finale instead. 2 pieces of this artifact set will increase your attack by 18%. If you equip 4 pieces of this artifact set and your character uses the Sword, Claymore, or Polearm, it will increase the damage of their normal attack by 35%.

4 pcs. Defender’s Will

A great artifact for Itto if you are a beginner is the Defender’s Will artifact set. Equipping 2 pieces of this artifact set will increase your defense by 30%. If you equip 4 pieces of this artifact, it will increase the elemental resistance of the character by 30% depending on the element that is currently present in your team. This is great because whenever Itto uses his elemental burst, his elemental resistance is lowered.

Team Compositions

When it comes to playing Itto, you want to keep him on the field as much as possible. You may also want to add another Geo character to your team for the Geo Elemental resonance.

Main DPS Itto

This team makes Itto the star of the show. He will be the main DPS of the team and Zhongli, Beidou and Fischl will support him from the sidelines. Zhongli will be the main support and shielder of Itto. This is important because he can be vulnerable during his Elemental burst form. On the other hand, we are adding Beidou and Fischl because they can provide Electro damage even when they are not on the field. Beidou can also act as a sub-DPS for the team.

Geo Team

This team is filled with Geo characters only. It utilizes the kit of Gorou, which can give you additional Geo damage depending on the number of Geo characters on your team. Itto will be the main DPS for this team and Albedo can become the sub-DPS. Zhongli will be your support or shield character, but you can also replace him with Noelle. Gorou’s main role in this team is to buff Itto and increase his survivability and damage on the field.

Free-to-Play

For a Free-to-play option, you can use Arataki Itto as the main DPS of your team. Kaeya or Xiangling can act as your sub-DPS and battery, for extra energy recharge. Add Noelle to your team for extra healing and Geo support. Lastly, the Geo traveler can help give your more crystallization elemental reactions against enemies. The Traveler can also act as your sub DPS.

Summary

Arataki Itto is a 5-star Geo character that is an oni descendant living in Inazuma.  He relies heavily on his normal and charged attacks to deal damage. When using Arataki Itto, prioritize getting stacks of the Superlative Strength and using them for your charged attacks. You should also use your elemental skill when you are in Raging Oni mode to further increase the Geo damage of Ushi.
