This JRPG title, which is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, features its own story and an entirely different set of characters unlike the previous title, which served as a direct sequel to the original Bravely Default game. So far, players have sung Bravely Default 2 nothing but praises. Many love how it takes everything that made the original Nintendo 3DS titles good and made them even better. This includes the combat system, as well as the job system. The job system, in particular, is something that players just can’t seem to get enough of, as it gives them numerous classes to toy around with. Even though there are already more than enough classes in the game though, it seems that Bravely Default 2 managed to hide one. This secret job is known as the Bravebearer and finding it isn’t easy, as it involves completing a number of optional quests that you could have potentially missed if you didn’t know what you were doing. Scroll down below to know more about how to unlock the Bravebearer Secret Job in Bravely Default 2.
Unlocking the Secret Bravebearer Job in Bravely Default 2
Now, while the good news is that this secret job is real, and that people have gotten their hands on it, the bad news is that it’s not a class you’ll have access to during your main playthrough. So, yes, we’re saying that the Bravebearer is post-game content and there are some major spoilers ahead. With that said, to get access to the Bravebearer job, you’ll need to load your clear save file after finishing the game. This will put you back at Chapter 6, and then you’ll need to go to Halcyonia, in particular, the Valley of Sighs. From there, you’ll need to finish the dungeon until you get to a gravestone where, after interacting, has you fighting against Sloan, the Hero of Light. Be warned. Sloan is no pushover. The Hero of Light is not just a fun monicker. He really will test how powerful you are. But, he’s not impossibly difficult and once you’ve beaten him, he’ll reward you with the Asterisk needed to unlock the Bravebearer class in Bravely Default 2.
What Can The Bravebearer Do in Bravely Default 2?
Being a post-game secret job, the Bravebearer is naturally powerful. The in-game description suggests that they are incredibly skilled in ways that “were thought to have been long lost”. This translates to them being able to do some serious damage with their sword. For example, one of the Bravebearer’s abilities is to cause damage proportional to how much time you’ve spent playing the game, or the number of battles that you have won before. Basically, the Bravebearer lets you reap the efforts of completing the game. Now, if you thought that was awesome, you might want to check out the Across the Board ability of the Bravebearer. This ability lets single-hit targets hit all enemies and makes the Bravebearer quite the overpowered character class in Bravely Default 2, that should make all of that endgame grinding a little less difficult.
