The brains behind the Metal Gear franchise was introduced personally by Xbox head, Phil Spencer, as he talked to audiences about his next project coming to the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X as well as the Game Pass on day one. Unfortunately, we know very little about Kojima’s next project save that it confirms all earlier reports that Kojima is working with Xbox on something. At the same time, it also debunks rumors that Sony is making a move to acquire Kojima Productions, since it’d be pretty weird for Kojima to work on an Xbox exclusive and be owned by Sony. By “not” revealing its Xbox project, Kojima also introduced a loophole with respect to Microsoft saying that everything revealed at the Xbox and Bethesda showcase is coming in the next 12 months. Of course, we’re still hoping that we don’t have to wait too long to find out what Kojima is up to. Everything Kojima touches is gold, one way or another, and we have no doubt that the upcoming Kojima x Xbox collab will turn out great. The only question we have is that, when are we going to see more of it? Kojima had this to say about his upcoming project: Interestingly enough, Kojima’s “radical project” announcement from earlier this year will feature the use of radios. Take that as you will, but Kojima might have already revealed its upcoming Xbox game. Speaking of, since breaking away from Konami in a very public divorce, Kojima has kept himself busy. Kojima Productions recently released Death Stranding as well as its expansion, Death Stranding: Director’s Cut. It is believed that Kojima is working on Death Stranding 2 with Norman Reedus reprising his role as the lead character. We’ve also received reports that Kojima’s other project is a horror title called Overdose.
