Are you ready to go back to Grove Street?
“Grove Street, home…” If you’re not familiar with that line, you probably wouldn’t enjoy Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - The Definitive Edition. San Andreas is widely considered one of the best games in the GTA franchise, both for its rich storyline full of colorful characters and a dense city that Rockstar went as far as to revisit many years later with Grand Theft Auto V. San Andreas, alongside GTA III and Vice City, are the pillars of the GTA series. So it only makes sense that Rockstar choose these three games as part of its remastered GTA trilogy, which was officially confirmed to release on November 11 after several weeks of rumors and speculation. Making San Andreas available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers should help give audiences an incentive to get the entire trilogy. Don’t worry, PlayStation owners aren’t getting shafted. Rockstar confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition will be available on PS Now starting December 7. But still, San Andreas is the better game of the two with a much more memorable protagonist. Not to mention, Microsoft just can’t stop scoring big with the Xbox Game Pass. Earlier this year, Microsoft secured titles like Outriders and MLB The Show 21. Later on, Microsoft announced several titles that will be launching on the Xbox Game Pass at E3 2021, which includes Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5, among others. Going back to Rockstar, it appears that the studio wants to make sure that the remastered trilogy is a fitting love letter to its longtime fans. These aren’t just mere remasters that were haphazardly put together. These games will now come with new enhancements that will make them much better to play on modern consoles, including iOS and Android platforms, as well as the Nintendo Switch. Of course, only time will tell if the remastered trilogy plays as well as it looks.
