As of November 8, Game Pass subscribers can play Football Manager 23, Football Manager 23 Console, and Return to Monkey Island. Make no mistake, despite sharing a name, Football Manager 23 and Football Manager 23 Console aren’t the same games. The former is a PC-exclusive experience and is considered the “superior” product. However, the latter is not half-bad either as the developers streamlined the gameplay to make it more digestible for console gamers and mobile users. The Return to Monkey Island is the highlight of the new additions to the Game Pass. It’s the latest entry in the fan-favorite Monkey Island franchise and brings back the series’ creator, Ron Gilbert, after he moved on from the franchise in 1991 following the release of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge. The point-and-click adventure came out earlier this year as a Nintendo Switch exclusive and was met with positive reviews. As a bonus, both of The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge Special Edition are available to play on the Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X through backwards compatibility. Regardless of whether you’re an older fan or a new gamer who wants to try out a piece of gaming history, the incoming title lets you play through Ron Gilbert’s Monkey Island trilogy. Xbox Game Pass subscribers aren’t losing out on a ton as well. The new update will remove the older versions, Football Manager 2022 and Football Manager 2022 Xbox Edition, from the library. Speaking of the Game Pass, Phil Spencer hinted at a potential price increase late last month. Finally, the numbers reveal that the Game Pass isn’t growing at the rate that Microsoft is expecting.
