Where to Watch the Diablo 4 Trailer?

Activision-Blizzard definitely did not disappoint its thousands of fans from around the globe by announcing the game via a trailer. As a matter of fact, Diablo 4 didn’t just receive an announcement trailer. In addition to the video linked above, the developers also released a gameplay trailer. The best part about this is that, from the looks of the gameplay trailer, it seems like Diablo 4 is further along than you’d expect a game that likely won’t release within the next two years. The gameplay trailer included a lot of content and featured early portions of the single-player campaign. Also shown was a quick glimpse of what the three confirmed playable character classes can do and what they look like.

Is There a Confirmed Diablo 4 Release Date?

No. While Activision-Blizzard has not been shy about providing updates about Diablo 4’s development progress, they have not confirmed nor teased a release date yet. The closest thing to a potential release window is a recent statement of company CFO, Dennis Durk. In a financial call, Durkin confirmed that the company doesn’t expect Diablo IV nor Overwatch 2 to release this year.  At the same time, Diablo Immortal is expected to release soon, with the Diablo 2 remake also expected to arrive within the next year or two if not earlier. With that said, we really shouldn’t expect Diablo 4 to arrive sooner than 2022 if not 2023. Of course, this long of a time in between games shouldn’t come as a surprise to longtime fans of the franchise. Diablo 2 was released in 2001 and fans had to wait until 2012 to play Diablo 3, so, clearly, Activision-Blizzard isn’t in any rush to push out the game soon. Not to mention, the company likely wants to take even more time to polish up the game. This is after their recent string of decisions upsetting the company’s fans and supporters. TLDR; Diablo 4 won’t release until 2023 or onwards.

This is because not only is Lilith the daughter of Mephisto and sister of Lucion, but Lilith is also the former lover of the archangel, Inarius, an unprecedented affair that ultimately led to the creation of Sanctuary and the nephalem. In case you’ve forgotten, the hero of the Diablo 3 story, who players control, belong to this unique race. Will There Be More Diablo 4 News at BlizzCon 2021?

BlizzCon 2021, which is now officially named as BlizzConline 2021, will run from February 19 to February 21. Considering that Blizzard took to Blizzcon 2019 to reveal Diablo 4, it is possible that they will use the same event to give fans more information about the game two years later. Of course, that’s all speculation at this point, although the schedule does point to at least one of the three Diablo games currently in development being part of the event. What is known is that the developers are hard at work on the game and constantly provide updates on its progress. If ever Diablo 4 doesn’t make an appearance at the first-ever BlizzConline, expect Blizzard to reveal more information about the game sometime in April.
