After several COVID-19-related delays, Craig’s final Bond film is finally set to premiere at the Royal Albert Hall on September 28. No Time To Die will then release in theaters on September 30 and October 8 in the UK and US, respectively. Ahead of the film’s launch, Craig guested on The Graham Norton Show. There, Craig got candid about some of his worst movie injuries. However, in one particular incident, the 007 actor revealed how he found himself running away after injuring Dave Bautista on the set of 2015’s Spectre.
Even Bond is afraid of messing with Drax
The 53-year-old English actor recalled a specific moment while filming the train fight sequence between Bautista’s assassin, Mr. Hinx, and Bond. He explained how he accidentally broke Bautista’s nose after hitting the wrestler-turned-actor. Once he heard the crack, Craig revealed how he ran away. He thought that Bautista was going to come after him, which, to be fair, was probably a good idea. Luckily for Craig, Bautista is as gentle and as tough in real life as he is in the movies. Bautista simply popped his nose right back in, or so to speak, as if it was nothing. In a later tweet, Bautista revealed his side of the story. He mentions that Craig did not run away. At least, not before Craig screamed, “F$#@ I broke his nose!!”.
— Vaxxed AF! #TeamPfizer Poor Kid Chasing Dreams. (@DaveBautista) September 28, 2021 Having said that, Bautista is no stranger to work-related injuries. Before starring in a host of action movies in recent years, Bautista performed in the WWE. He burst into the wrestling scene as part of Triple H’s gang, Evolution, before branching off on his own and achieving stardom. Bautista is scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at a later date after his initial induction as part of the Class of 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As for the actor behind the most recent 007 Agent, Craig has had quite a few injuries himself. He even describes his most recent one as “stupid”. He explained how he was “literally walking down a plank” when he “slipped, and fell over” while filming No Time to Die. After his time as James Bond is over, Craig is scheduled to reprise his role in Knives Out 2 as Detective Benoit Blanc. Meanwhile, his Spectre co-star, Bautista, has a fair few films lined up ahead of him. After starring in Season 2 of See, Bautista is doing a buddy cop movie with Jason Momoa and the third Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy film.
