Cyberpunk 2077 Attributes

In Cyberpunk 2077, there are a total of five different attributes that you can allocate points to and that pretty much determine the ideal playstyle for your character. After creating your character, you’ll start with all five attributes having been allocated with 3 attribute points by default, and an additional 7 that you’re allowed to allocate to your preferred attribute/attributes. The different Cyberpunk 2077 attributes are as follows:

Body

The Body attribute is “what determines your raw physical power” and has three different skills sub-categories: Athletics, Annihilation, and Street Brawler. Starting from Level 3, each point distributed towards the Body attribute will have the following effect:

Add 5 Health Points Add 3 Stamina Points 3 point increase in damage using fists and Gorilla Arms 1.5% increase in melee weapon damage 6% movement penalty decrease while grabbing enemies or wielding Heavy Machine Guns 5-second increase to enemy grapple duration and an increase in movement while grappling enemies

For those who prefer brute force over speed in melee builds, focusing on the Body attribute is a good idea. A high enough Body attribute will let you force doors open, carry around bodies more easily to use as shields or throw them anywhere you’d like, and even break apart enemy turrets, as well as use Heavy Machine Guns more effectively.

Reflexes

The Reflexes attribute has a direct effect on your character’s maneuverability in Cyberpunk 2077 and has three different skills sub-categories: Handguns, Blades, and Assault. Each point distributed towards the Reflexes attribute will have the following effect:

Faster and better movement speed 1% increase to passive Evasion against enemy attacks 1% increase in Crit Chance 3-point damage increase from using Mantis Blades

If your preferred gameplay style involves moving around your environment, investing a lot in your Reflexes will help you run circles on your enemies, both literally and figuratively. Combined with the right specialized Cyberware, high reflexes will let you close in on enemies a lot faster, avoid getting hit by enemies, as well as gain access to secret locations that you would not have been able to reach otherwise. A high Reflexes attribute can also help you use Revolvers, Pistols, and Rifles better in ranged combat.

Intelligence

The Intelligence attribute has a direct impact on your “netrunning proficiency” and has two different skills subcategories in Breach Protocol and Quickhacking. Each point distributed towards the Intelligence attribute will have the following effect:

4% increase in cyberdeck RAM capacity 0.5% increase in Quickhack damage 1% increase in Quickhack duration

In a world where everything has technology embedded in it, having a high Intelligence attribute is crucial. In fact, a build surrounding the Intelligence attribute can effectively finish the game without doing any literal heavy lifting.

Technical Ability

The Technical Ability attribute allows you to “unlock doors and use Tech weapons” and affects skills like Crafting and Engineering. Each point distributed towards the Technical Ability attribute will have the following effect:

5% increase in Armor

This is the ideal attribute to level up for those who would like to explore the map in a non-conventional manner and assault mechanical enemies in Cyberpunk 2077. Technical Ability also has a huge effect on your character’s ability to modify and craft equipment, so take note of that.

Cool

The Cool attribute is no gimmick. It’s basically what determines your character’s ability to stay calm and operate via stealth. It is divided into two skills subcategories: Stealth and Cold Blood. Each point distributed towards the Cool attribute will have the following effect:

2% increase in Crit damage 1% increase in all Resistances 10% increase in stealth damage 0.5% decrease in enemy detection speed while in stealth 3 point monowire damage increase

Upgrading your Cool attribute is a great way to make your character in Cyberpunk 2077 more reliable in common. It’ll also help open up conversation options if it is leveled up high enough.

Cyberpunk 2077 Skills

The five different attributes in Cyberpunk 2077 branch out to 12 different skills, which then also branch out to dozens of perks available per skill in the game. The different skills are as follows:

Body

Athletics Annihilation Street Brawler

Reflexes

Handguns Blades Assault

Intelligence

Breach Protocol Quick Hacking

Technical Ability

Engineering Crafting

Cool

Stealth Cold Blood

How Do Cyberpunk 2077 Perks Work?

In Cyberpunk 2077, each skill can have dozens of perks available. However, unlike the attributes, you can’t just allocate points to each Skill. Instead, you’ll have to hone your skill, or so to speak, by doing a related action often and repeatedly. To level up perks in Cyberpunk 2077, you’ll need to use Perk Points, which you can gain either from leveling up your skills or just by leveling up. You can also use Progression Shards to level up or put points into any perk you want. They’re pretty rare, so make sure that you use them properly. Progression Shards are often given as a reward for completing side jobs or from completing NCPD scanner hustles. Here are some tips on how to level up Cyberpunk 2077 skills faster:

You don’t necessarily have to be fighting all of the time if you want to gain XP to level up your Athletics skill. Simply playing around with melee weapons and exhausting your Stamina bar is enough. Players have also found that jumping into ceilings while confined in a tight space can help exhaust your Stamina bar much faster.

Unfortunately, these are the only two known “exploits” if you want to level up your Cyberpunk 2077 skills faster. Basically, the best way to level up your Skills and Perks, as well as beef up your Attributes, in Cyberpunk 2077, is to keep on playing and using their associated weapons and actions more often in combat.
