At Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards, Capcom revealed that Street Fighter 6 will be out by June 2, 2023. Capcom’s latest Street Fighter 6 trailer let us know something that hasn’t happened in over a decade. Street Fighter 6 will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and the Xbox Series S/X. This marks the first time, since Street Fighter 4 rolled out back in 2008, that an installment of the iconic fighting game franchise will be on an Xbox platform. Interestingly enough, the Xbox One was not among the listed platforms. Moving on, Thursday nights’ for Street Fighter 6 revealed the full launch roster of the game which includes everyone from Ryu and Ken to Chun-Li as well as other mainstays such as Dhalsim and many more. Street Fighter 6 is getting new characters like Jamie, Kimberly, JP, Lily, Marisa, and Manon, all of who were showcased in what appears to be a tropical setting. We won’t have to wait too long to find out more about Street Fighter 6 as a second closed beta will run from December 16 to 19. There’s still time to submit an application if you’re interested but the window is closing soon, so you better hurry up. It’s unclear if Capcom will run a third or fourth closed beta, but with at least six months to go before the game comes out, we’re inclined to think that they will.
