From what we know of The Witch Queen, the story will see Guardians take on the more powerful Light-wielding Hive Guardians. With Savathun on her Throne World, the Guardians will need all the help they can get to put a stop to her. Thankfully, Bungie is giving players a bunch of new exotic weapons to make this job easier. As revealed by Bungie on the game’s official YouTube channel, Destiny 2 is about to get a handful of new exotics. For starters, there’s the Slug Launcher armed with full auto missiles known as the Grand Overture. Meanwhile, the Parasite launches worms with increasing damage. Finally, the Osteo Striga can fire swarming projectiles that deal toxic burst damage. But, that’s not all. Glaives and their class-specific abilities are all potential game-changers. Be warned, only the Glaives are available to all Destiny 2 players. You’ll need to own the Season Pass to access the new exotics. If the trailer has gotten you itching to get back into Destiny 2, you’re not alone. Fans are dying for a chance to jump into Bungie’s premiere shooter to get a taste of its latest update. The good news is that Destiny 2’s next expansion is coming on February 22. Players won’t have to wait too long to find out what’s new in Destiny 2 once The Witch Queen arrives. Speaking of Sony, the console manufacturer might want to hold a more extensive State of Play in the coming weeks. So far, we know that Sony’s first State of Play showcase this year will revolve around Gran Turismo 7. But, with so much going on for Sony this February, the company might want to hold another one soon. Here’s to hoping that Bungie’s newest owners will reconsider.
