What Are The Events On BlizzConline?
BlizzConline will start at 2 pm on the 19th day of February 2021. The show is scheduled to run for over an hour. There will be an opening ceremony, followed by panels for World of Warcraft and Diablo. These “What’s Next” panels in the physical BlizzCon of yesteryears usually offer additional information about the announcements that Blizzard had in the opening ceremonies. There are no other details regarding both of these games however Blizzard had conducted a survey gauging the interest in bringing over the ‘Burning Crusade’ expansion to World of Warcraft Classic. For Diablo 4, the mobile entry Diablo Immortal might be highlighted as well as the re-release of Diablo 2, ‘Diablo 2 Resurrected’, which is not yet known to be a remaster or a full-blown remake. The Diablo 2 re-release is reportedly being worked by Crash Bandicoot and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remakes developer Vicarious Visions. There will also be “Deep Dives” and a developer roundtable for both of the games.
How About Other Blizzard Games?
Overwatch 2, Hearthstone, and Starcraft will have some community showcases. Hearthstone will also undergo a “Deep Dive” however, the schedule seems for this card game is not as elaborate as Diablo and World of Warcraft. Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 release dates have already been implied by Blizzard in their investor presentation where they confirmed that both games are not expected to arrive before 2022. Other events for BlizzConline include fanart submissions, cosplays, and artists’ breakdown on the games they are working on.
