Gamers can even choose not to use weapons at all. It’s possible to finish Cyberpunk 2077 just by using hacks. With that said, we’re all for weapons here. In particular, handguns are our poison of choice. In Cyberpunk 2077, players are spoilt for choice when it comes to handguns, which are classified as either pistols and revolvers.

Pistols and Revolvers

Semi-automatic pistols and heavy-hitting revolvers make for excellent choices for sidearms in Cyberpunk 2077. Although they don’t do that much damage or have a large capacity, they’re quick to fire and easy to use. There are around 15 pistols and seven revolvers available in Cyberpunk 2077, seven of which are “Iconic”. These weapons are labeled as much because they’re often one of a kind and it’s very hard to get them. Some are available only through certain vendors or if you complete a particular side quest in a specific way. Others, well, can be had via far more sinister methods, such as by offing their owners. Of the numerous pistols and revolvers in Cyberpunk 2077 though, one stands out in particular.

How to Get the Best Cyberpunk 2077 Handgun

The “Skippy” is the best Cyberpunk 2077 pistol, by far, and it’s not just because it’s the most powerful. Rather, it’s because it’s also very entertaining. This isn’t so much just as a weapon as a companion, as this unique smart pistol scales with your in-game level and actually talks with you, complete with a jolly personality that’s befitting its happy name. To get your hands on Skippy, all you need to do is to go to an undiscovered location just south of the College St. fast travel point. Once you’re there, you’ll just have to go down the street, across the road, and right before you get to that big aquamarine-colored building, you should see a red wall with random graffiti near an alleyway with a gate close by. Simply just over the said gate and you’ll find a corpse with Skippy.

Making the Most of Skippy

The talkative unique gun will gladly introduce himself to you and talk you up until you’re asked to choose between its two modes: “Stone Cold Killer” and “Puppy Loving Pacifist”. Basically, the former means that Skippy will only shoot for the head, while the latter means that it’ll aim only for the legs. Naturally, most people will go for the “Puppy Loving Pacifist” mode. However, before you do that, you’ll want to know that he’ll automatically change to the opposite mode after you get your first 50 kills with the weapon. What this means is that, if you chose the “Stone Cold Killer” and get 50 kills with it, it’ll automatically switch to the “Puppy Loving Pacifist” mode. We suggest that you choose the “Puppy Loving Pacifist” mode just in case you lose track of how many kills you’ve gotten with this chap, which is actually quite easy because of how powerful and enjoyable he is.

Giving Skippy Back to Its Owner

A fun little thingamajig like this surely must have come from somewhere, right? Well, you’ll know who its original owner is pretty soon after a few days as he’ll tell you all about it himself and even make an entire quest out of it. If you want to complete all the quests in the game, you’ll have to finish the quest and give the gun back to its original owner. However, there’s really no shame in holding onto it as it is seriously powerful and could last you pretty much the entire time you’re playing Cyberpunk 2077.
