Netflix’s newest plan is much cheaper than Netflix’s existing plan, but it comes with a huge caveat - you can only access a fraction of the platform’s TV shows and movies due to licensing restrictions. The Basic with Ads plan is available for $6.99 per month. It features an average of four to five minutes of ads per hour, with each ad being up to 30 seconds long. Greg Peters, Netflix’s Chief Product Officer as well as Chief Operating Officer, announced in a recent sit-down with reporters that work was ongoing on regaining access to some of the restricted movies on the new subscription plan....

Nintendo is now the new owners of the CG animation and motion capture studio, Dynamo Pictures. Nintendo will rename the company, which previously did motion capture work for Persona 5, Death Stranding, and NieR Replicant, into Nintendo Pictures. Does this mean that Nintendo is finally ready to jump back into Hollywood after all these years? We can’t say for sure. But, it is curious that the acquisition comes as Nintendo is working on the company’s first big-screen adaptation in a long time in next year’s Super Mario Bros....
