There isn’t quite another genre like RPGs, and even though most of them are utter time sinks gobbling up hundreds of hours of time, we can’t ever get enough. The biggest leak this year has been for GTA 6 which involved ninety pieces of pre-alpha footage, as well as, subsequently, law enforcement from the US and UK. We also had hours of gameplay footage from alpha and beta tests of Diablo 4 leaked. Blizzard specifically chose to do a closed beta test only on the end-game content for Diablo 4, as they expected leaks would happen. Overwatch 2 is no stranger to leaks....

Battle royale games are still riding the popularity wave, with Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone, and PUBG still enjoying huge success. Many developers are trying to replicate the formula that makes these games headliners, and traditional shooters like Halo are moving into the battle royale space. It seems like it is just a matter of time before Blizzard enters the battle… royale. We may already have a preview of it in the recently launched Overwatch 2....

Case in point, Blizzard got people talking about Overwatch 2 last month after the company asked if they’re willing to pay for more expensive skins. It’s worth noting that Overwatch 2 will ditch loot boxes in favor of battle passes, which is a similar approach that Diablo 4 is taking. Even though fans are happy knowing that Blizzard is removing the video game equivalent of legal gambling from Overwatch, it appears that the company just can’t stop digging itself a hole....

Apparently comedian Dan Soder worked with fellow comedian, Dan St. Germain, to write the unannounced animated series with no involvement from the WWE. But, Soder is saying that the WWE and Peacock are giving them the runaround and that they haven’t heard any update about the series for 17 months. Soder adds that the Texas Rattlesnake was “way on board” with the “dark and weird” animated show. Dan hopes that bringing the details of the still-untitled show to the public will push WWE and Peacock to finally give it the greenlight....

After months of silence regarding the follow-up to the original PS VR, Sony has finally made an official announcement. According to Sony, the all-new PS VR, which will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5, will enable the “ultimate entertainment experience with dramatic leaps in performance and interactivity.”. They add that the new VR will help players “feel an even greater sense of presence and become even more immersed in their game worlds”....

A few days ago, Variety reported that DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran were “exploring the possibility” of bringing Pattinson’s Batman into the DC Universe. Following this report, James Gunn posted a response on Twitter, saying: — James Gunn (@JamesGunn) December 14, 2022 The film, which grossed over $770 million against a $185–200 million budget, making it the sixth-highest-grossing film of 2022, was praised for Pattinson’s performance and Reeves’ direction....

In recent months, we’ve reported on a handful of leaks, like how it will feature the series’ first playable female lead and its use of the RAGE 9 engine, which Rockstar wants to be on par with Unreal Engine 5. Fast forward to today and a new Bloomberg report claims that Rockstar has spent most of the past ten years working on GTA 6. According to Bloomberg, Rockstar started development on GTA 6 just a year after releasing GTA 5....

The Los Santos Drug Wars will ask players to work together with the Fooliganz, a crew of chemists and drug runners. But, as this is a full-on drug war, GTA Online players will need to watch their back. The Last MC and several others involved in the drug trade will attempt to challenge you, as you try to monopolize Los Santos’ drug trade. If it’s any consolation, the Fooliganz aren’t pushovers....

During its original run on the PS2, Bully went on to win several accolades and sell 1.5 million units, which is not half bad, all things considered. Unfortunately, Rockstar hasn’t talked about a follow-up to Bully yet - until now. Is Rockstar going to announce Bully soon? With nearly two decades of no credible news about a sequel, Bully fans have been starved for a sequel for far longer than GTA fans....

According to Ron Gilbert, who you might know for creating iconic adventure games like Maniac Mansion, The Cave, Thimbleweed Park, and of course, the first two Monkey Island Games, his next project is a new Monkey Island game. The only problem is that Gilbert posted his new update on his blog on April Fool’s day, all but suggesting that he’s just pulling our tails, or so to speak. What’s interesting here is that Gilbert expressly opposed April Fool’s day, explaining in his blog last year that he hasn’t celebrated the prankster’s holiday in 17 years....

Ubisoft didn’t clarify the reason behind the delay, but it’s surprising, to say the least. We’d gotten a chance to watch it showcased as part of the latest Forward showcase. It’s believed that the game still isn’t in a state where Ubisoft is satisfied with the output after the latest technical test, which ended on the 19th.
