After confirming the follow-up in April, Sony announced that the still-untitled sequel will be out in theaters on December 20, 2023, just in time to take advantage of the festivities. Sony did not include other details in its announcement, but we do know that at least part of the film will take place in New York City and feature the original Ghostbusters firehouse. After seeing Jason Reitman, son of the original Ghostbusters director, Ivan Reitman, pay his proper respects to the classic series while paving the way for a new generation, it would not surprise us if Sony brings him back along with the rest of the cast and crew....
