In their most recent update to their Play at Home program, Sony announced that they are going to give away a mix of 10 indie titles and PSVR games starting March 25. Understandably, most of these are relatively unknown titles. However, Sony grabbed headlines by including Horizon: Zero Dawn as part of the initiative. Over recent years, PlayStation has been actively working to strengthen its mark in the gaming industry and has clearly achieved the target. In an effort to continue building upon its success, PlayStation has also acquired several development studios, including a studio that only focuses on porting the Playstation-exclusive titles to PC. Sony has launched a number of best-selling Playstation-exclusive titles on PC, including God of War (2018), Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, and most recently, Spider-Man Remastered....

Is Sony going to make the PS5 backwards compatible? Before Sony released the PS5, the rumor mill was filled with intel that it would have full backward compatibility and support games from the PS1 all the way through to the PS4. Of course, we now know that this never happened, and it’s one of the drawbacks of buying a PS5 over the Xbox Series S/X. Unlike Sony, Microsoft managed to make a huge chunk of Xbox 360 games as well as original Xbox games playable on its latest console....

In the first Splatoon 3 trailer, we see an Inkling standing still in the middle of the desert, while the player customizes their appearance and that of their little buddy right beside. Shortly thereafter, the Inkling moves through the massive environment to board a train. We get a glimpse of the city that should serve as the main hub for Splatoon 3, just like in the other games in the series, as well as painting-mayhem scenes from some matches....

That’s right. The traditional tactical Nuke returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, called Mass Guided Bombs (MGBs). The MGB is achieved once a player has acquired 30 kills without dying. If you’re unfamiliar with the Nuke in Call of Duty, it’s a killstreak not listed under the regular killstreaks menu. You can only get this kill streak by getting 30 kills (or sometimes 20 in previous games). Once you’ve acquired the kills, you can deploy it, ending the game and giving the player and their team the win, even if they are losing on the scoreboard....

In a recent earnings call, Zelnick doesn’t see the good of releasing games on a subscription service the day that they hit store shelves. Specifically, Zelnick had this to say: Zelnick adds that he doesn’t think that the subscription business is a “mass market service that supplants the interactive entertainment business as we know it at all. And I don’t think there’s any evidence to the contrary so far”. This isn’t the first time Zelnick has said something along the same lines....

Techland apologizes to fans for the Dying Light 2 delay After several teasers and updates, Techland finally confirmed back in May that it will release the Dying Light sequel, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, in December 2021. Naturally, this got fans excited, especially after a new trailer that was released at Gamescom 2021 showcased the game’s much-improved parkour mechanics. However, it appears that fans will just have to suffer for a little longer....

The Polish studio just confirmed that Reeves will return to record new lines for the next-gen exclusive expansion to Cyberpunk 2077 that’s coming out next year. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will come nearly three years following the release of this decade’s most controversial game (and for all the wrong reasons). It appears that Reeves, who plays Johnny Silverhand in the base game, still has a role in the Phantom Liberty DLC....

But, what makes this new Black Adam footage different is that it teases a connection with the rest of the DCEU by way of Ben Affleck’s Batman, Henry Cavill’s Superman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, and even Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. This new Black Adam trailer should put an end to all speculation that the film will address the Justice League. Even though Black Adam will mainly contend with the Justice Society of America, it is highly likely that it will connect with modern-day DCEU films, possibly in the post-credits scene....

During the Summer Games Fest, Naughty Dog announced that it is working on a new multiplayer title for TLOU. The new game will be a stand-alone version of the multiplayer mode called Factions from the original The Last of Us, which launched on the PS3 and PS4. New rumors suggest that the TLOU multiplayer spin-off will be a free-to-play title. A new job listing at Naughty Dog was first spotted by Insider Gaming looking for a “Live Ops Producer to support our major new multiplayer title....

At just a little over 1GB, you could easily do away with update 22.02-06.00.01 with a few minutes of your time, depending on your connection speeds. As for what it brings, Sony is claiming “improved system performance” for those who want to probe further. Given that it is the first system software update for the month, the next one could be more substantial in size. Sony released significant improvements and changes for the new-gen console last month, including 1440p support for suitable displays....

Industry insider, LanceMcDonald, claims the said Ubisoft studios finished development on the game. Specifically, McDonald mentions that this version was “actually finished, went gold, went through Sony certification, and was uploaded to the PlayStation network servers, where some people clever were able to preserve it and even decrypt it using their pre-order encryption keys.” TLDR; Ubisoft is sitting on a complete Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake and decided against releasing the game....

TLDR; the plot of the Assassin’s Creed games might have been messy and sometimes hard to wrap your head around, but the games themselves were amazing. After a series of big hits, Ubisoft eventually missed the mark, starting with the release of Assassin’s Creed Unity back in 2014. This was followed by a couple more duds until Ubisoft finally found its footing with 2017’s Assassin’s Creed Origins, which turned the games into open-world RPGs that have since seen players explore Egypt, Greece, Norway, England, Ireland, and Paris....
