Battlefield 2042 just released Update 2.1 for Season 2: Master of Arms and along with some new content, DICE teased an event coming in mid-October. According to the EA, the event will feature an “infantry only gameplay with tight playspaces and intense close-quarters combat,” and it will reveal more about the event at a later date. After the Warzone and Vanguard integration, a new contract called ‘Top Secret’ was recently introduced in Warzone. Picking up the Top Secret Intel gives you a random contract to complete. The random contract can be any of the regular contracts such as the Most Wanted, Recon, or Scavenger. Completing the Top Secret contract rewarded players anywhere between 1,000 to 5,000 weapon XP and players could rank up their weapons within an hour or so....

The good news here is that one developer working on the game insists that Ragnarok is still on track to come out this year. When asked by fans on Twitter to reassure them that the studio hasn’t delayed Ragnarok, Animation Director, Bruno Velazquez, replied by saying that the game is coming this year. The reply comes just after the game’s producer, Cory Balrog, reaffirmed that the studio is hard at work on Ragnarok but isn’t quite ready to show off the game in its current state just yet....

Now, we may have gotten an update about the next Deadpool film via Ryan Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively. The couple just announced they were having their fourth child. When the Black Ops Cold War weapons were introduced in Warzone, no one expected them to overpower the already existing Modern Warfare (2019) weapons. But, in fact, some of the Cold War weapons were not only overpowered but completely broken in Warzone. These weapons include the tactical rifle DMR-14, MAC-10 SMG, and the Akimbo Diamatti pistol. Type 63 tactical rifle was also a bit overpowered but not as much as the DMR....

According to a footnote in Microsoft’s recent submission to the Competition and Markets Authority, UK’s regulatory body when it comes to these sorts of things, Microsoft reiterated, “existing contractual obligations that Activision Blizzard may have with other platforms” will continue as is after the $68 billion acquisition pushes through. But, while this is good news for Sony, Microsoft is using this to its advantage. Specifically, Microsoft writes that this will include the agreement “between Activision Blizzard and Sony” wherein the deal restricts the “ability of Activision Blizzard to place COD titles on Game Pass for a number of years....

Fast forward to today and hopeful fans are thinking that Capcom is gearing up for what could potentially be a heavier slate of games for 2022, as evidenced by an official countdown.
