Now, Microsoft is claiming the deal it extended to Sony is more extensive. Apparently, as per Bloomberg, Microsoft is willing to put Call of Duty on PlayStation Plus if it becomes the new owner of Activision Blizzard. Keeping Call of Duty on PlayStation platforms for ten years is a big deal. It’s an even bigger deal for Microsoft to put Call of Duty on PlayStation Plus. This is a win-win situation for the two rival companies as it guarantees that future Call of Duty games will post record-breaking numbers....

Sony recently confirmed that it will make the PlayStation 5 more expensive in most regions effective immediately. Naturally, the response was for gamers to question if Microsoft and Nintendo would follow suit. For now, this isn’t the case. In a statement sent to Windows Central, Microsoft confirmed that it doesn’t plan on raising the price of the Xbox Series S/X in the US, UK, and Europe. Meanwhile, Nintendo president, Shuntaro Furukawa, revealed to Nikkei Asia that the company is “not considering” a price increase for the uber-popular Nintendo Switch....

For the first time in 10 years, the world’s most popular streaming platform did the opposite of gaining subscribers, making it realize that it’s not as invulnerable as it believes. Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings, had a word with shareholders during the company’s most recent quarterly earnings call. Hastings revealed that Netflix had lost 200,000 subscribers in the first quarter of 2022, and it will only get worse. After steadily gaining subscribers for the past 10 years, Hastings added that the platform will lose at least two more million accounts in the next quarter despite the return of Stranger Things, Ozark, and Better Call Saul, among others....

Variety reports that the streaming platform sent its employees an internal memo letting everyone know that it’s not going to stop working on offensive content. The said memo ends by telling employees, “If you find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you.” If this isn’t Netflix’s version of “git gud or get rekt”, I don’t know what is. Netflix is not new to controversies and this is perhaps its biggest strength....
